All three can build good walls. They differ in weight, size accuracy, insulation, fixing and construction method.

Choose for wall use, climate, fixing and workmanship.

There is no universal winner.

A Class brick

Familiar clay masonry

Robust and easy for conventional workmanship and fixing.

Heavier and generally less insulating than AAC.
Wire-cut brick

Regular geometry

Cleaner edges, alignment and finish when precision matters.

Still depends on actual brick quality.
AAC block

Lightweight aerated concrete

Faster walling, lower structural weight and better thermal insulation.

Needs compatible mortar, plaster and anchors.
Quality

Verify the material

Poorly fired, absorptive or irregular clay bricks can weaken joints and increase plaster.

03 Fixing

The wall choice continues into the hardware.

For AAC, what mortar and fixing system will be used?

Heavy fixtures using anchors compatible with the selected wall material
Ask before approval
Where will cabinets, TVs and heavy fixtures be fixed?
  • What exact brick or block is supplied?
  • Which mortar and plaster system is compatible?
  • Which anchor suits each fixture and substrate?
  • Does the contractor know the required method?
